Ich arbeite mit Form, Format und Farbe, mit Linie und Fläche,
Schrift und Fragment, Leinwand, Papier und Folie,
in zahlreichen Schichten und, vor allen Dingen, mit Hitze.
Teilweise koche ich meine Arbeiten regelrecht,
bis Pigmente, Lacke, Folien, Papiere, Kreiden, Bunt- und Bleistifte
sich aufeinander einlassen und ein großes Ganzes ergeben.
Ich möchte die Vielheit der Realitäten einfangen und sichtbar machen.
Ich möchte die hellen Räume und dunklen Kammern meines Menschinnen-Seins
durchmessen und von diesen Wanderungen erzählen.
Ich möchte begreifen, was mich umgibt,
was im Innersten wirksam ist, wie fein und zugleich kraftvoll,
wie wuchtig und ebenso zart Materie sein kann.
Wie authentisch meine malerischen Übersetzungen ausfallen,
kann mein Verstand oft nur erahnen, ich fühle jedoch deutlich
dieses “Ja” oder “Nein” einer inneren Instanz, die mir mitteilt,
ob das Entstandene stimmig ist.
Diese zuverlässige Instanz deutet an, dass nichts beliebig ist,
sondern dass das, was sich zeigen möchte, eine klare Vorstellung
von sich selber hat und mein handwerkliches Können
lediglich als Werkzeug benutzt.

About my work
I work with shape, format and colour, with line and surface, scripture and fragment,
canvas, paper, foil and film. With numerous layers and, in the first place, with heat.
Partly I almost boil my works until pigments, laquers, foils, papers, chalks and pencils
get mixed up with each other and amount to one big whole.
I intend to capture the diversity of realities and to make them visible.
I want to stride through the light and dark chambers of my human-being and
I want to tell about these wanderings. I seek to comprehend what surrounds
me and what is effecting the innermost, how delicate and
at the same time forceful, how heavy and simultaneously fragile substance can be.
How authentic my painted translations are, my intellect can only guess.
Still, I have a very clear notion of this inner „yes“ or „no“
telling me, whether the appearing is truthful or not.
This reliable impuls indicates, that nothing is optional. Whatever comes
up has a distinct idea about itself, simlpy using my craftsmenship as a tool.
